DARE AT SANJAYNAGAR APARTMENT COSTS LIFE

Bangalore: A 21-year-old BBM student fell to his death from the 10th floor of an apartment block early on Saturday. Adith Nair, son of a general manager with Sobha Developers, was partying with his friends in Sanjaynagar when they challenged him to step on a fiberglass sheet used to cover a gap between twoblocks. Unable to take his weight, the sheet snapped, and Adith plunged to his death.
Police claimed Adith was drunk when he was on the terrace of Chartered Jardin apartments in Boopasandra, Sanjaynagar. Adith, a
student of CMR College, had gone to his friend Namith’s house for Adith’s birthday party. Although the birthday was on Sunday, the group decided to celebrate it on Friday.
Around 9pm on Friday, Adith left his home on Indiranagar 3rMain, 1st Stage, and reached Namith’s residence around 9.45pm. The house belongs to Namith’s father, Dr Ashok N, a professor in radiology at MS Ramaiah College. After partying for a while, Adith,Namith andtwoof their friendsdecided to go to the terrace around 2am.
That’s where they decided to see who could jump on the fiberglass sheet, which covered a ventilation duct, and touch the beam above. One of the boys jumped twice but couldn’t touch the beam. According to a statement given to policeby hisfriends,Ajith tried twice and failed. On the third attempt, he used all his strength and landed hard on the sheet. The sheet gave way.
